Metal Detecting is a hobby that has looked really cool to me since I can remember. I've done a fair bit of research and now I think this is the year to see if I truly enjoy dirt fishing. From all the reviews I've seen and read, of all the entry level detectors that I'm aware of, the Fisher F2 looks the best to me. The pinpoint functions looks so useful, and the numeric identification system seems very practical as well. But unfortunately, I don't have a CC, and thats pretty much the only way to order stuff online. I've looked on Kijiji and UsedOttawa but can't find one. Does anyone know of a walk-in store that sells them not far from Ottawa, or if anyone has recently upgraded from it, and has one laying around, could I buy it? Nice logo for the forum by the way.

Leading Edge Hobbies in Kingston. Phone them to see what detectors they have. I know they have Garret products, and there were a few other brands as well.

Thanks for the info guys, this could help me out. If I end up getting one I will create an account here, and most likely share many of my experiences. Hopefully I'll see you guys around, thanks again.
