:hello: Everyone Last week researched a park in Ottawa and decided Saturday was the day to hit it, Armed with my CTX 3030 and my MX sport I drove an hour north to Ottawa, The theory was this, if the parks in Montreal are silver laced so should the old hidden Ottawa Parks, I hit the road at 7:30 and picked up a buddy half way there and met another friend at the first site we were going to hit, It looks real promising. One of the guys was having second thoughts about hunting this busy site, I laughed a little inside having hunted Montreal with nick so many times people are no longer an issue with me. So we hopped in the truck and drove to another park, about 10 mins away. Things started a little slow, we were picking up modern and old pennies by the pocket load, next thing you know I pop out a 57 quarter, then all of a sudden in this tiny 15x15 foot section I managed to find 1930 Quarter, 1981 LC & an extremely worn William IV Sixpence!! Funny thing is the sixpence comes from where there was a circular depression in the soil where there used to be a tree that my buddy actually pointed out to me, We called it a day around 2pm and I headed home Happy with 3 Silvers and LC So I will be returning to Ottawa soon to hit the first park I wanted to hit that I have a gut feeling is loaded with old great stuff. Oh and I almost forgot, how's this for strange, I found a coconut floating in the river.... Hope you all had a good weekend!!

Nice finds. When you research an area what are you looking for that would make it a good place to hunt?
