Hi all, with the unseasonably warm weather and disappearing snow I tried my luck at a new spot along the Ottawa River yesterday. Among the hoards of pull tabs and other junk I found these two lead objects which I believe to be old bullets. The fact that the tips of both are flattened in exactly the same way leads me to believe that they are unfired and that this is just the way they were molded. Anybody have an idea on a date or company for them?

I cant tell from the photo, do they have scratches running along their lenght? That would indicate that they were fired. Nice find I was looking for bullets on Saturday with no luck.

Thank you Beth! There are no scratch marks so I'd assume they are unfired then.

These are bullets. They're called mini balls. More info: www.blueandgrey.zoomshare.com/1.htmlI found a solid one about a year ago. If they are hollow they were made in a factory. The solid ones where hand poured in a mold.
