I was out searching a local park today, where I have dug plenty of times, and usually find nothing but a ton of clad coins. However, today I was surprised with my oldest coin to date, a 1935 English penny! Although it is not that spectacular of a find in itself, I was simply shocked to have found it in this particular park which to my knowledge has only been around since the 1960's at the earliest. It's in pretty good shape too, just adding to the mystery! I also found this odd lead object that looks almost like a button with a flower-like pattern on the front, except I do not think that they ever made buttons out of lead... Any idea what it could be??

Did a bit of research and lead buttons were actually made at one point, but the object that I found does not have a loop on the back for it to be attached to clothing...thinking maybe some kind or door pull, off a cabinet or something?

the lead button is actually a dress weight from back in the 1800's
