The other day I went to my local park to search for coins, I set up my detector and got in maybe 3 swings before I was surrounded by 6 kids who'd been kicking a ball around. I'm guessing that they where 11 or so years old. The questions came fast. What are you doing? Looking for coins. What do you find? Bottle caps, pop cans and some times money. How deep does it go? Not very I'm looking close to the grass. At this point my detector gives me the deep signal with a tritone that usually means a loonie I said I've found something what do you think it is? The general consensus from the kids was that it would be a pop can I dug a perfect coffee cup sized plug and sticking out of the bottom where two loonies. MINDS BLOWN The whole scene took about 4 minutes and the kids satisfied went back to kicking the ball around. Don't you love it when things work out.

Good story, Once I had a 7 and 9 year old, same situation, I dug a penny for each of them and said "That's your lucky penny" they don't make them anymore. The girl said I'm getting one of those detectors. LOL Made my day.
