Hello Again, I have pretty much 205 hrs. of dirt fishing and have used the Garrett pro pointer. I haven't used any of the others but from reading many forums its in the top 3 for sure. I can also say it saves a pile of time looking for items in mud/sand etc.etc. Leading edge hobbies.com in kingston have them in stock and mail out to customers. Toll Free # is 1-866-389-4878 Mike is the lad who I dealt with. But google the reviews on pro pointers to see for yourself and then make a decision. DIG ON!

Depends on how much money you want to spend on one. Search this forum on pinpointers and you'll see a stud finder that one of the guys uses and I tried at the last dig. It works well for the price he paid. I am in the Garrett camp as well. Love my Pro Pointer. Look at the Dealer listing on this site for some online dealers.

I use a vibra probe. It doesn't have the same range as others but if you use your detector right it doesn't really matter. The important part is that mine is water proof to 100 ft for those hot summer days at the beach
