Hi all, I noticed many videos and posts of people using the Zircon M40 (stud finder) as a pinpointer. Soo I decide to go out and buy one at Rona. I have only air tested it yet but seems to work better then the high end pinpointers. So if anyone is looking for a cheap alternative this is what I would suggest.

What is the build quality like? Is it water resistant?

Where did you buy it?

the quality is what you would expect paying 29$. the battery case is a little flimsy and I expect the small plastic pieces to snap and force me to use tape to keep the battery compartment closed.
It is definitely not water resistant.
You can get it at Home Depot for 29$ but they were out of stock so I went to Rona and paid 39$. I was excited and didn't want to wait for shipping from Home Depot.
I have a really good pin pointer on my BH 3300 so I don't really need a pin pointer, however, sometimes I get stumped and can't find the target in the hole... so this will come in handy.
I will test it out tomorrow on a dig and let you know how it performs.
