An old toy gun. I just found it on August 27th, at the same area I found the silver quarter and two old pennies. I know it's a toy gun because I can barely fit my fingers in the trigger guard and it doesn't have any holes in the cylinder. Also, it has CANADA stamped on it and a fancy engraved M with a circle around it. It's also pretty heavy for it's size; weighing 150 grams. I think it is cast iron and it is fully intact. Anybody know how old it might be? First pic= the gun. Second pic= CANADA stamped on. Third pic= the fancy engraved M. I entered this in Find of the Month.

This looks like an old 1880/1890s defender model. I have one that's been disabled and is now just a show piece. Very similar looking - popular in the day

Thanks for the info about the gun. I am glad you think it is as old as I hoped it was!

Well the original "real thing" is that old - your toy gun? Maybe if I could taste the rust lol But it does look like it's been around a long time.

This would be a neat project for reverse electrolysis restoration.
